Introducing the easiest fudge ever! This no bake M&M fudge is full of chocolate and M&M’s and is perfect for the summertime!

I used to make these quick 3 ingredient fudge recipes on my YouTube channel years ago back in 2016. When I started my blog, I knew I’d have to make them here as well!

Here is my YouTube playlist if you’re interested!

This 3 ingredient fudge is super simple to make. Chocolate chips and sweetened condensed milk is melted using a double boiler method.

M&M’s are added and mixed in. Then it’s transferred into a square pan, chilled, and that’s it!

This fudge is sweet and perfect for the hot summer days when you don’t want to turn on your oven.

    • 3 ingredient M&M Fudge

    Why this recipe works

    Easy – Only 3 ingredients!

Flexible – Don’t have or like M&M’s? Substitute for another candy, chocolate, or nuts!

No bake – Perfect for the summertime heat!

    Ingredients Notes

Here are the three ingredients you’ll need for this recipe

Chocolate chips – I used semi-sweet. Feel free to use dark chocolate! I feel like white or milk will be to sweet.

Sweetened condensed milk – Make sure you use this, and not evaporated milk. They both come in cans, so it’s easy to confuse the two!

M&M’s – I used regular-sized, but you can use mini ones as well!

    Step by step instructions

Here is how to make these 3 ingredient M&M fudge. You will need an 8×8 square pan lined with parchment paper, a large mixing bowl, and a spatula.

Step 1 – Prepare pan. Line an 8×8 pan with parchment paper or foil. If using foil, grease with oil. Set aside.

Step 2 – Melt chocolate chips and condensed milk together. In a large bowl, melt the chocolate chips and sweetened condensed milk. I like to do this using a double boiler method.

This is when you place a pot of water on the stove and add the bowl on top. Make sure the water and bowl aren’t touching. The heat from the water warms the bowl which in turn melts the chocolate!

Step 3 – Add M&M’s. Remove from heat and toss in the regular-sized M&M’s and mix in.

Step 4 – Spread out evenly. Transfer into your prepared pan and spread out evenly. Top off with extra M&M’s if desired.

Step 5 – Chill. Place the fudge into the refrigerator to chill for 2 hours minimum. When ready, remove, slice, and enjoy!

I keep this fudge refrigerated during the hot summer days, and I recommend you do the same!

    Expert Baking Tips

Here are a few baking tips from my kitchen to yours

    • Use semi-sweet or dark chocolate chips. I think that milk or white would be to sweet for this!
    • Not a fan of M&M’s? Add in your favourite chocolate or candy!
    • Keep refrigerated until ready to serve.
    • When ready to slice, remove from the pan and cut on a cutting board. This will give you easier and cleaner cuts!

    FAQ

My chocolate condensed milk mixture is clumpy?

This means you have burned your chocolate. Make sure you are using a double boiler method, or melting it in 15 second intervals in the microwave and stirring between each time.

What is a double boiler method?

A double boiler method is a kitchen tool used for applying gentle heat on the stovetop to melt down ingredients.

To do a double boiler method: Grab a large saucepan and add 1-2 inches of water. Place on the stove top on medium heat. Grab your heat-proof bowl and put it on top of the pan. It’s important that the water doesn’t touch the bowl.

Add the chocolate chips and sweetened condensed milk into the bowl. The steam from the simmering water will warm the contents of the bowl gently with indirect heat.

I prefer using this method for melting down ingredients rather than using a microwave because a microwave can give you inconsistent distribution of heat on your ingredients.
