The Double Boiler Method
The double boiler method. Let's talk about it! Essentially this method is when you take a pot and fill it about a third (1/3) of the way with water, placing it on low heat on your stovetop. Taking a heat-safe bowl (I typically use glass), place this on top of the pot with water. You want to make sure that the bowl is not touching the water. The steam from the simmering water warms the contents in your bowl and creates a gentle indirect heating. Why do I love this method? Well, there's several reasons. First off, the double boiler method ensures that your chocolate will not burn. With the stovetop on low, the soft heat from the simmering water will rise and distribute evenly on the bowl. Basically what I'm saying is that it provides precise temperature control! Another reason I love to use this method is that it allows you to work on other projects in the kitchen! Unlike melting chocolate in the microwave and having to do it in intervals, or directly in a pot having to stir consistently, this method is gradual and works like a charm every time.

The four ingredients you'll need for this recipe are white chocolate, sweetened condensed milk, dried cranberries, and vanilla extract. I also decorated the fudge with additional sugar sprinkles strictly for decor purposes, but this is not necessary!
