Reese’s pieces peanut butter blondies are chewy blondies full of peanut butter goodness! Each bite has peanut butter, chocolate chips and Reese’s pieces. They are buttery delicious squares that come together with no electric mixer.

Peanut butter treats are seriously so good! This one is no exception.
The blondies come together in one bowl. Melted butter is used, so no need to wait around for butter to soften! There is also smooth peanut butter in the blondies, which makes them extra creamy!
Both mini Reese's pieces and regular sized Reese's pieces are used in this recipe. This brings pockets of Reese's in each bite!
The chocolate chips added in are a bonus, but I love the balance it brings to the 'nuttiness' of the bars themselves.

Why this recipe works
Gooey cookie bars - Enjoy cookies without having to roll out each individual one! This is essentially 9 delicious peanut butter cookies sliced into bars.
Reese's Pieces - These bars have mini and regular sized Reese's pieces, for Reese's chocolate in every bite.
Peanut butter - There is peanut butter in the cookie dough and in the Reese's. Peanut butter fans, this one's for you!
Easy to make - These cookie bars come together in 20 minutes with no electric mixers needed.
Ingredients Notes
Butter - I always use unsalted. This will be melted.
Brown sugar - I used light brown sugar, but dark works as well. Both types of sugars will make your blondies soft and chewy.
Egg - Remove 2 hours prior to baking, or place into a cup of warm water to speed up the room temperature process. Do this 10 minutes before starting your baking.
Reese's - I used mini Reese's Pieces and regular sized. You can use one or the other if you'd like. Feel free to substitute for Reese's cups as well!
Peanut butter - Creamy is used in this recipe. You may also use crunchy. Don't use natural.
Chocolate chips - I used semi-sweet chocolate chips. You can also use dark chocolate, but milk or white would be to sweet.
Step by step instructions
Here is how to make and bake these Reese's Peanut Butter Bars. Before you start, line a square 8×8 baking pan with parchment paper. Preheat the oven to 350°F/180°C.
Step 1 - Whisk butter and peanut butter. In a large bowl, whisk together the melted and cooled butter and creamy peanut butter until smooth.
Step 2 - Add in sugars. Toss in the brown and white sugar and continue whisking. Add in the egg and vanilla and whisk until combined, and the mixture is paler in colour.
Step 3 - Toss in dry ingredients. Add in the flour, baking soda, cornstarch, and salt. Fold in until no dry streaks appear. It's normal if the dough is crumbly.
Step 4 - Add in Reese's Pieces and chocolate chips. Toss in all the of add-ins, and mix a few times until well incorporated.
Step 5 - Spread and bake. Press the bars down into your prepared pan and top with extra add-ins if desired. Bake for 20 minutes. Cool, slice, and enjoy!
FAQ
My dough is crumbly before baking?
It’s okay if the blondie dough is a little dry! When pressed into the pan, it will come together while baking!
Do I have to add cornstarch?
Yes! Cornstarch helps create soft and chewy blondies. It adds a tenderness that is hard to find with just adding flour.
Can I use M&M's instead?
Yes! Any similar sized chocolate candy works great in this recipe.
