Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F and line an 8×8 square pan with parchment paper. Set aside.
  • In a large bowl, whisk melted butter and creamy peanut butter until smooth. Then add in the white sugar and brown sugar and continue whisking.
6 tbsp butter, 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter, 1/4 cup white sugar, 3/4 cups brown sugar
  • Add in the egg and vanilla and whisk for 2 minutes until everything is incorporated well.
    1 egg, 1 tbsp vanilla
  • Add in the flour, baking soda, cornstarch, and salt. Using a spatula, gently fold this in until a dough forms. It's okay if it's crumbly! Fold just until no dry streaks appear anymore.
1 3/4 cups all purpose flour, 1 tsp baking soda, 1/4 tsp salt, 2 tsp cornstarch
  • Toss in the Reese's pieces and chocolate chips and mix in.
1/4 cup mini Reese's Pieces, 1/4 cup regular sized Reese's Pieces, 1/3 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • Transfer into the prepared baking pan and press down firmly and evenly. Add additional Reese's and chocolate chips if desired.
  • Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. It took me exactly 20 minutes. Allow to cool in the pan, if you slice while it's still warm the bars will fall apart. Slice and enjoy!
