S'more Rice Krispie Treats combine the classic Rice Krispie with summer s'mores. It is full of Golden Grahams, Rice Krispies, marshmallows, butter, and Hershey's Milk Chocolate. The best no bake summer recipe of everyone's two favourite desserts.

Key Ingredients

Chocolate chips - Semi-sweet chocolate chips were used. Dark works as well. Mini chocolate chips would probably melt from the heat.
Golden Grahams - I used the regular Nestle. This cereal adds a graham cracker flavour.
Marshmallows - Regular or mini marshmallows may be used. The secret to getting soft and chewy Rice Krispies is making sure you use a lot of marshmallows! Preferably a just opened bag.
Rice Krispies - I used the regular original Rice Krispies cereal.
Unsalted butter - The butter gets melted.

Step by Step Instructions
Here is how to make and bake these S'mores Rice Krispies Squares. You will need an 8×8 square pan lined with parchment paper, a large saucepan, a large mixing bowl, a spatula, and a whisk.
Step 1 - Melt the marshmallows. In a large saucepan on low heat, melt the butter. Add in the marshmallows and stir until melted. As soon as it's melted together, remove from the heat. It's important not to overmix the marshmallow mixture.
Step 2 - Stir in the Rice Krispies. Transfer into a bowl with Rice Krispies and stir well. If you find it difficult to stir together, try greasing the spoon with some butter beforehand.


Step 3 - Stir in the add-ins. Toss in mini marshmallows, Golden Grahams, and chocolate chips. Continue to mix together.
Step 4 - Line the pan. Use parchment paper to line an 8x8 inch baking pan. If you don't have parchment paper, use foil and grease the pan extremely well on all sides.


Step 5 - Pour the mixture. Press the marshmallow s'mores treats into the bottom of the pan. Pour into the pan as soon as you are done mixing in the add-ins. Top off with a chocolate bar, extra Golden Grahams, and mini marshmallows.
Let it sit for 1 hour on the counter before cutting into them. They are best served immediately.

Expert Baking Tips
Here are a few baking tips from my kitchen to yours
Grease the pan very well. If you don't, it'll leave you with a sticky s'mores mess!
Allow the Rice Krispies/marshmallow mixture to sit for a minute before adding in the chocolate to prevent it from melting.
It's important to press the Rice Krispie s'mores treats mixture into the pan immediately after the add-ins are stirred in. If you wait, it'll become difficult to press in later.
Keep them on your counter for soft gooey treats. If you refrigerate them they'll turn tough!
FAQ
What other pans can I use?
You can make these treats in a 9X9 inch baking pan, they will come out slightly thinner. You may half the recipe for a loaf pan. Double the recipe to use a 9X13 inch baking pan.
Can I use marshmallow fluff?
No! You have to use marshmallows.
Can I use mini chocolate chips?
I wouldn't recommend. Mini chocolate chips will melt from the heat!
Storing
Store Rice Krispies S'mores Treats in an airtight container on your kitchen counter for 3-5 days. Do not refrigerate.

Ingredients
- 4 1/2 cups Rice Krispies cereal
- 4 tbsp butter
- 40 regular sized marshmallows OR 6 cups mini
- 1/3 cup mini marshmallows
- 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup Golden Grahams
- additional mini marshmallows, chocolate, and Golden Grahams cereal for decoration, optional
Instructions
- Line an 8x8 inch square baking pan with parchment paper and set aside.
- In a large saucepan over low heat, melt the butter. Add in the marshmallows and stir until completely melted. Remove from heat immediately.4 tbsp butter, 40 regular sized marshmallows
- Add in Rice Krispies cereal and stir until they are completely coated in the marshmallow mixture. Let it sit for 1-2 minutes.4 1/2 cups Rice Krispies cereal
- Add in Golden Grahams cereal, mini marshmallows, and chocolate chips. Stir in.1/3 cup mini marshmallows, 1/2 cup Golden Grahams, 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- Immediately press down evenly into the prepared pan. Sprinkle extra add-ins on top if desired.additional mini marshmallows, chocolate, and Golden Grahams cereal
- Allow to sit on the counter and set for a minimum of 1 hour. Slice and enjoy!
