These Valentine's Day Oreo M&M cookies are chewy buttery cookies! They are loaded with Oreos, chocolate chips, and M&Ms. Make them as a gift or enjoy them with your Valentine this Valentine's Day!

With Valentine’s day right around the corner, I knew I had to make all the cute pink and red treats I could!
These Oreo cookies are simple but decadent! They have crunchy Oreo pieces and pockets of gooey M&M chocolate in each bite. They are so good!
The key to this recipe is baking the cookies large. Since we are adding in Oreo pieces, a bigger cookie scoop is needed. Also, baking larger cookies gives you extra soft centers with crisp edges.

Ingredients Notes
Full ingredients and measurements can be found in the recipe card down below. Here’s a few key ingredients for this recipe!
- Butter – I always use unsalted for baking. This will be melted.
- Brown sugar – I used light brown sugar. Dark brown sugar works as well.
- Chocolate – I used semi-sweet chocolate chips. You can also use a chopped up chocolate bar.
- Oreos – I used almost an entire regular package (270g) of Oreos for this recipe. You can use any flavour Oreos, just make sure it is not double stuffed.
- M&M’s – I used these Valentine’s Day M&Ms.
Step by step instructions
Here is how to make and bake these Valentine's Day Oreo M&M chocolate chip cookies. You will need two trays lined with parchment paper, a large mixing bowl, a spatula, a whisk, and a standard ice cream scoop.
Step 1 – Whisk in the butter and sugars. Whisk the melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until well combined.
Step 2 – Mix in the wet ingredients. Whisk in the egg, and vanilla extract until just combined.
Step 3 – Mix in the dry ingredients. Fold in the all-purpose flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Mix in the Oreo pieces, M&M's, and semi-sweet chocolate chips until just combined. Make sure not to over mix!
Step 4 – Scoop and bake! Scoop 6 cookie dough balls per prepared baking trays. Space the cookies 2-3 inches apart from one another and bake the cookies until the edges are a light golden brown, about 10-12 minutes.
After baking, add a few more add-ins on top to make them look 'prettier' (optional) and transfer to a cooling rack. Let them cool for about 10 minutes then dig in!
Expert Baking Tips
Here are a few expert baking tips from my kitchen to yours
- Use a gram scale for the most accurate measurements. To convert this recipe, click the ‘metric’ button next to the ingredients title on the recipe card.
- Make sure the butter is not hot when mixing. If it is hot, the dough will be to soft and the cookies will spread to much in the oven.
- If the dough is to soft to form cookie dough balls with, chill for 30 minutes.
- To elevate this recipe, brown the butter.

Tried this, dough came out crumbly, cookies were puff balls. Will search for a different recipe.
Ania says
Hi Queen! Sorry to hear that your cookies didn't turn out. This cookie dough recipe is used in several of my cookie recipes across my blog and I've never heard or had them puff up into balls before. A crumbly dough usually means that to much flour was added in. I hope that you find another recipe that works for you! Have a great day.
