Preheat oven to 350°F and lightly grease a 12 mini muffin tin.
In a large bowl, cream together butter, peanut butter, brown sugar, white sugar, vanilla, and egg with an electric mixer on medium speed until well combined (Approximately 1-2 minutes).

Add flour and baking soda and mix on low speed all is just incorporated and a light and soft peanut butter dough forms.

Scoop & roll dough into 1 tablespoon sized balls using your hands and place each ball into a greased, mini muffin tin.
Bake for 8-9 minutes. The cookie cups will rise quite a bit and look soft. This is how you want them to look.
Remove from oven and immediately press one mini Reese's peanut butter cup into the center of each cookie cup.

The Reese's will begin to melt. Once this happens, place a heart sprinkle into the middle of each cup.
Either place into fridge to allow the Reese's to reharden, or eat while chocolate remains melted and peanut butter cup is warm.
