Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350℉/170℃ and line a muffin tin with liners and set aside.
  • Stir together flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt together. Set aside.
2 cups all-purpose flour, 1 1/2 tsp baking powder, 1 tsp baking soda, 1/2 tsp cinnamon, 1/4 tsp salt
  • In another large bowl, add the brown sugar, white sugar, mashed bananas, eggs, oil, vanilla, and sour cream. Whisk until well combined.
1/3 cup brown sugar, 1/3 cup white sugar, 1 1/2 cups bananas, 1/2 cup oil, 2 large eggs, 1/3 cup sour cream, 1 tbsp vanilla
  • Combine the dry and wet ingredients together until almost combined, then mix in mini chocolate chips and stir just until no flour streaks appear. Do not over-mix!
    3/4 cups mini chocolate chips
  • Fill the liners to the top with muffin batter and sprinkle mini chocolate chips on top.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Allow to cool, and enjoy!

Notes

Bananas: If using frozen, make sure to thaw and drain any extra liquid before mashing the bananas.
Brown sugar: Light or dark brown sugar works.
Mini chocolate chips: I prefer mini chocolate chips, but semi-sweet, milk, or dark also work!
