No Bake Rice Krispies Oat Bars are so delicious and easy to put together. This recipe combines creamy peanut butter with oats, chocolate, and Rice Krispies. Only 15 minutes for this sweet homemade snack!
For easy removal of the bars, place parchment paper on the bottom and 2 sides of the pan. Gently grease the other two sides and then set aside.
Using a microwave or the double boiler method, melt your chocolate until smooth and creamy. If using a microwave, melt in 20 second intervals and stir in between each time. I used a mix of hazelnut chocolate and dark chocolate.
1 1/2 cups chocolate chips
Into the bowl of melted chocolate, add the butter and peanut butter. Continue stirring. Everything should melt together because of the heat from the chocolate.
1/4 cup unsalted butter, 1 cup creamy peanut butter
Add the rolled oats and Rice Krispies cereal into the bowl, and mix until evenly coated.
4 cups Rice Krispies, 1 1/4 cups rolled oats
Add the mixture into the prepared pan and press down as evenly as possible.
Place into the refrigerator for 1 hour or until firm. You can also place it in the freezer to set faster.
Once set, slice however you'd like and enjoy! Keep the bars refrigerated in an airtight container when not eating.
These bars are so delicious and simple to make! They are a great sweet crunchy treat. The bars stay good for up to 7 days in an airtight container in the fridge.
Notes
*Chocolate - you can use chocolate chips or chocolate bars. I used a mix of dark chocolate and milk hazelnut chocolate.
